XMODS KICK AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

Madison Square Garden, New York City, was an RC motor roar on October 16th, 2003, as celebrities and RC racers poured in by the hundreds to demonstrate their racing skills in an XMODS Custom RC race to a $10,000 cash and prizes finish.

The XMODS Street Showoff featured among the celebrities, Vivica A. Fox, DMX, Mos Def, Tiki Barber, Erin Brodie and Chad Viggiano, showing off their racing skills to kick-off the release of the hot, performance-driven XMODS Custom RC cars, from RadioShack.

Fast and furious was the theme of the day as RadioShack, the experts in RC, officially unveiled their newest line of kickin' custom RCs. The big winner of the race was Justin Kimball, native of Minneapolis and current resident of Hoboken, New Jersey. Taking home the grand prize, Justin burned up the track, driving a 1:28th scale, stock model XMODS. "People will really get into XMODS because they offer a lot of versatility," said Justin, the newest XMODS expert. "With XMODS, you can be creative and make your own little personalized street car."

Celebrating ultimate performance was only half the story at the Garden where XMODS sheer bangin' good looks also got plenty of attention. Attendees got their first scope of RadioShack's 2003 XMODS line, with designs modeled after legendary street-racers including the 2001 Nissan Skyline GT-R VoSpec, the 2003 Acura® RSX,® the 2000 Honda® Civic Coupe, ® and the 1997 Toyota® Supra.®

A NOPI sanctioned car show featured actual tricked-out real, life-size street cars, laying out Best of Show awards to Chris Delrio, John Kargili, James Howard, Anthony Debellionia and Tuhid Choudhury. The excitement of the show was topped off as Ruff Ryders recording artist, Jin Tha MC threw down some free-stylin' hip-hop to entertain the tuners and racers.

The XMODS Street Showoff was an awesome introduction to XMODS Custom RC. Attendees enjoyed an onslaught of the intense competition and tweaking potential of these hot little racers. Tuners left the event excited about turning their garage, workshop, bedroom, backyard or driveway into their own XMODS Custom RC tuner garage.
