What's the best way to photograph my XMODS Custom RC? |

Lighting is the biggest key to a good photograph when posting your pics on Rate-An-XMODS or sharing them with friends. You want to show off the color, style and dimension of your ride, so make sure it is evenly lit across the front. The sun often provides the best light. Make sure the light is behind you when taking your picture. |

Can undercarriage neons be added to my XMODS Custom RC? |
 |

Yes. Although RadioShack does not currently supply these lights, certain neons designed for RC cars can be added. The most difficult part of adding these lights is fitting the necessary battery pack inside the car body. Some have done it successfully, without interfering with their RC's mechanics and electronics. See the Featured XMODS article for some extra tips. |

"One of the best ways to maximize your motors capabilities is to install ball bearings in your car. However, before you do, there are a few simple steps to insure you're getting the most from your bearings. Begin by putting all of the ball bearings in a small container such as a small empty jar with a lid. Then spray motor spray (contact cleaner) into the jar until the bearings are submerged. Put on the lid and gently shake the jar for a few minutes. The purpose is to clean out the power robbing grease that is packed into the ball bearings. Once the grease is washed out, remove the bearings and place them on a paper towel until they dry. After they are dry, oil the bearings with light bearing oil and you're done. The bearings can now be installed in your car and you should now have better speed, acceleration and efficiency."
Disclaimer: This tip can reduce the life of the ball bearings.

No, although changing tires will alter the performance of your car, the official XMODS wheels available in your Tire and Wheel Upgrade Kits are comparable in weight and form and will not substantially affect your car's performance. But they can add a killer personalized style to your ride.

At 1:28 scale even the slightest bit of added weight will affect your car's performance. Added weight can provide more traction to the tires, increase torque for a faster start off the line and give you better handling in the turns. However a heavier car may not reach the same top speed in the straightaways that a lighter car will achieve.

Most of the time the light upgrade snaps into the body and bumper securely. If they seem loose or fall out of place use a small dab of hot glue in the light cup. This will hold the lights in place and can be easily peeled off for future modifications. A little model glue will do the same thing but is a bit harder to remove later.
